2009: Lately my interests have turned focused on the possibilities that lies within the technology of digital 3D scanning. Late autumn 2009 I spend some weeks at MetWorks in London, (www.metropolitanworks.org), getting to know/try out some of the tools at offer, both software and hardware. The following images are the result of these experiments. I started with some pieces found in nature: small stones, branches, bark and similar. These objects are scanned, and the raw scanner files are aligned and composited, and further manipulated in 3D modeling software. In the end some of the files are prepaired for 3D printing, and printed on a Zcorp 310 printer.
